Do I have to have auto-deploy boards to install a Running Board Kit?

The lights will activate with the opening of a door, unlocking of the doors with your remote key or by turning your interior dash light control all the way to permanent on setting.

What will turn the Running Board lights off?

Unless they are set to permanent on with your in dash switch, the lights will fade similar to your puddle lamps or interior dome lights. (typically about 15-45 seconds)

Approx how long is each light running board light?

The running board light stip is approx 83" in length on each side but is designed where it can be trimmed for shorter cabs etc.

Will the running board lights work for my shorter cab or extended cab truck?

The kit is ready for supercrew and extended cab trucks, if you are using it on a shorter model the lights are designed to be trimmer at the back. This can be done using a common pair of scissors across the gold connection point.

Will the running board lights hold up to snow, car washes, etc.?

Yes! Proper install is important, but if done correctly the lights will last through inclement weather, extreme temperatures, etc. A clean mounting surface and copious RTV silicone during install are critical.

I have a 2015, how do i get the running board wire into the truck?

If you remove the door sill panel, you will see a white plastic tab (push tab configuration) You will simply need to drill a small hole in this plastic tab to run your wire through.

Can I install this running board kit at the same time with a bed light kit?

This is normal and no cause for alarm. The light should not be affected in function and is much brighter when actually activated by high beams. This is caused by the grounding function of the fog light assembly being tied to the high beam system.

How much light is blocked by my grille?
